About On: Hallyu Festival

On: Hallyu Festival

  • · The ‘On’ has many connotations: 1) online 2) all (in Korean pronunciation)
       3) warmth (in Chinese pronunciation of 溫) 4) continue (in English)
  • · The title of the Hallyu festival sums up its theme of comforting all people in this
new norm of the COVID era.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) present the “ON: Hallyu Festival” from November 16 to 23 in a bid to provide comfort and hope to fans of Korean culture around the world suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is also intended to help them gain a better understanding of K-culture.
Among the Festival’s many programs are a virtual K-pop concert and trade exhibitions that showcase games, cartoons and TV content to global buyers, as well as an inter-governmental forum focused on ways for shared growth in the content industry.
